A Daytime Gig - Started Friday 20th Feb 2026

Our new daytime choir started on Friday 20th February at 175 Great North Road, Five Dock and runs weekly for 10 sessions.

The booking is from 10:30 to 12:30 however the core session is likely to be 10:30 to 12:15 to help people who want to use the nearby 2-hour parking.

The hall used to be the Anglican Church Hall and is mostly used for dance - the acoustics are great.

James Paul is our choir director. James is one of the top professional choir directors in Sydney and we are fortunate to have him.

The plan for first term is to have ten sessions with the tenth being a performance for family and friends.

Choir members will be provided with music scores and practice audio tracks.  Sessions will be recorded and will be available for members to download.

We are planning Workshops to help build choral skills and confidence.

Fees

The Choir is a not-for-profit association and currently receives no external funding. The fees that Choir members pay cover expenses such as hall hire, insurance, choir director and music scores. There is no fee payable for the first session that someone attends. The fee for a set of 10 sessions is $140 paid in advance. Alternatively, the fee for one session is $20, paid at the time. The fee for students and people under 25 is $10 per session. Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for other concessions.

Our Constitution

It sounds official and, for banks and government entities, it is. But it really just outlines on two A4 pages how the choir is to be run. At our session on 27th February, the choir members endorsed the constitution.
